This session will explore common behaviors we encounter in our clients and the impact of engaging activities. Presenter: Amy Siple, Nurse Practitioner, Educator & Speaker

Amy Siple has been a national speaker on health care issues that impact older adults as well as the empowerment of their caregivers for more than 20 years. She maintains an active practice as a geriatric nurse practitioner and was a tenured associate professor of nursing for over 15 years. She is recognized as a leading expert on dementia-related topics and has been appointed by two Kansas governors to serve on boards and task forces to represent the health care interests of older adults. Amy is the President of the Kansas Advanced Practice Nurses Association. She appreciates the opportunity to positively influence the lives of her patients and their caregivers.

Amy is a TEDx speaker, is part of a project Echo team, and is developing and presenting content for OSHA on COVID 19 and infection control in long-term care. She has been invited to provide commencement addresses and speak for numerous organizations including the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, American Society of Consultant Pharmacist, Kansas Alliance of Nurse Practitioners, the National Conference for Nurse Practitioners, the Alzheimer’s Association, Leading Age, and more. In addition, she has been invited on several occasions to share her knowledge on healthcare-related topics at the Kansas Statehouse.

Registration for this webinar is per facility. This allows multiple staff members to participate in the education for one fee. Prior registration is required to ensure connection information and applicable materials are distributed prior to the webinar. The registration fee for this webinar is $49 per SDAHO Member facility /$99 per non-member facility.
