Overview:

Learn about the effects of regulations and sub-regulatory guidance as well as other regulatory developments impacting nursing home operations. This presentation will share the impact of proposed regulations, agency and the administrations recommendations and CMS’s regulatory work plan for the upcoming year. Participants will understand the intersection of infection control and emergency preparedness from the experience of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Presenter:

Janine Finck-Boyle, LeadingAge

Janine oversees LeadingAge’s response to and intervention in regulatory-related issues impacting LeadingAge members. This includes implementing an effective process for state and member input into proposed rules from CMS and other regulatory bodies, ensuring LeadingAge is timely and thorough in its comments to federal agencies; engaging in dialogue with those agencies on regulatory matters as well as coordinating LeadingAge’s work on them and engaging with multiple stakeholders as appropriate. She is also responsible for identifying opportunities to replace burdensome regulation with innovative alternatives that maintain quality. Janine ensures that LeadingAge’s regulatory positions are driven by sound policy analysis and are well-coordinated with the association’s overall advocacy program.
