Overview:

Author, speaker, researcher Marcus Buckingham redefined strengths and weaknesses in his book, “Go Put Your Strengths to Work”. This session will focus on his definitions and how they can reframe our work. Time will be spent on naming our strengths and narrowing our scope to better understand how we effectively use this information to improve our work day. When we play to our strengths we are at our best and our organizations get the best of us!

Mary Sand, PhD, Owner/President, Sand Consulting

Mary Sand, PhD is a proven leader with more than 35 years of professional experience in healthcare, nonprofit organizations and higher education. She began her healthcare career as a physical therapist and over the years held various administrative and leadership positions. Mary had the privilege of leading teams in a variety of settings including hospitals, clinics, long term care, and a healthcare system. Recently Mary launched her own consulting business focusing on facilitation, strategy implementation and physician leadership development. After living and working in South Dakota for many years, Mary recently moved to Omaha, NE to launch Sand Consulting.
